Venice For Rent

While it’s certainly not unusual for people to reside aboard boats, it’s the reason behind photographer Rachel Bujalski’s decision to do so that interested us.

As a Millennial who wasn’t interested in paying astronomical rent to live in Venice, California, she figured out a creative (and substantially less expensive) option to make her home in the city she loved. She bought a twenty-seven foot Catalina Sailboat on Craigslist for what she would have spent in rent for a couple of months.

Enjoy the photographs of her home and read more about Rachel in the essay “Floating World”.
